In this fully experiential course we will utilize the Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System’s 6-elements approach to healing trauma. This multimodal approach supports the body’s natural responses to bring resolution and let go of trauma. 

 

Conscious connected breathing, spinal unwinding movement, contact improvisation, touch, conscious non-cathartic emotional expression, creative use of sound and meditation are all tools we will utilize in this workshop. With creative combination of these techniques we are able to achieve being present in our physical bodies and encounter ourselves, gently releasing trauma-related deep core tension without overwhelming our system. Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System is rooted in utilizing our Felt Sense as a means to stay present to our physical sensations without attaching meaning to it. When we’re able to remain present to what our bodies experience at any given moment without making it mean anything we are no longer stuck in unconscious emotional responses and behaviors perpetuated by the past traumatic events. We develop a capacity to be present in any situation without loosing our awareness or being overwhelmed by emotions, bodily responses or memories.

 

This workshop will serve as a great introduction to BioDynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release Training. Led by Giten Tonkov, Founder of this widely popular modality. You will walk away with deeper sense of yourself and solid tools you can use in everyday life to be able to manage the level of activation and presence in your physical body.

This workshop will be a great addition to your practice if you are already working with people as well as being of benefit to anyone who wishes to explore themselves on a deeper level through creative and fun use of your physical body and senses.
