OSHO Meditative Therapies
Meditative Therapies were created by OSHO. They are scientifically designed for the contemporary man. A breakthrough to meditation, a speeding up process to connect with our natural state of being.
The OSHO approach to therapy is that it can never be the ultimate solution to human problems, but it can be used as a tool to help prepare the ground for meditation. Based on this understanding he has created a series of “meditative therapies” that give participants the opportunity to dissolve the tensions and repressions that keep them from being able to sit silently and observe the mind that creates problems in the first place.
Uniquely simple and effective, these methods involve a minimum of interaction among the participants, but the energy of the group helps each individual go more deeply into his or her own process. No “therapist” is required, but only a facilitator who has gone through the process and has been trained in conducting it.
Meditative Therapies are processes for freeing our energy, to renew vitality and to create space for silence. They work energetically, bypassing the conscious, analytical mind. They are therefore clear, pure processes where individuals are connecting directly with their own energy, without any interference or intervention from a facilitator (except in rare circumstances where guidance is needed). And all of them are basically meditations – even in the active phase, one is in a moment-to-moment encounter with oneself.

OSHO Meditative Therapies are the part of the very heart of OSHO Afroz. They have been with us since the beginning of the place starting in 1993 with the first OSHO Mystic Rose and continuing until now. Every year a big part of our program consists of the four magnificent processes including their Facilitating trainings.

The OSHO Meditative Therapies Are:


OSHO No-Mind
OSHO No Mind is a meditative therapy process lasting for 2 hours a day for 7 days. For the first hour, we use gibberish to empty the mind of all garbage, allowing -in second hour- a great silence to arise from within.
Osho first introduced the No-Mind meditation as part of his evening discourses on Zen. Later on, it became a group process. Here is an excerpt from the talk where Osho first introduced the meditation:
“The first part is gibberish. The word ‘gibberish’ comes from a Sufi mystic, Jabbar. Jabbar never spoke any language, he just uttered nonsense. Still he had thousands of disciples because what he was saying was, “Your mind is nothing but gibberish. Put it aside and you will have a taste of your own being.”


OSHO Born Again
A process created especially by Osho to rediscover the freshness and innocence of childhood without going into psychological issues.
2 hours a day for 7 days. The first hour is for entering into your childhood and doing what you always wanted to do. The second hour is for sitting silently like a child.
Osho has this to say about the first part of the process:
“Remember this: regain your childhood. Everyone longs for it but no one is doing anything to regain it. Everyone longs for it! People go on saying that childhood is paradise and poets go on writing poems about the beauty of childhood. Who is preventing you? Regain it! Take this opportunity to regain it.


OSHO Mystic Rose
3 hours a day for 21 days
Sharing our laughter, tears and silence
Osho says about it: “The symbol of the mystic rose is that if a man takes care of the seed he is born with, gives it the right soil, gives it the right atmosphere and the right vibrations, moves on a right path where the seed can start growing, than the ultimate growth symbolized as the Mystic Rose: when your being blossoms and opens all its petals and releases its beautiful fragrance.
For those who want to go deeper, I have chose to create a new meditative therapy.
This is absolutely my meditation. I have invented many meditations, but perhaps this will be the most essential and fundamental one.
Mystic Rose is the fulfilment of your inner being.

This guided meditation is a process of being reminded of a language most of us have forgotten. It’s the language of communicating with your own body. To communicate with the body, talking to it, listening to its messages has been a well known practice in ancient Tibet.
