Sufism is an Open sky, boundless and infinite. The only limitations are those we carry within our hearts. It is a never-ending journey of exploring the vastness of the heart—deeper and deeper, higher and higher, with no boundaries, no end.
For me, from an early age, I felt a yearning for something more, an undefined sense that there was something greater out there. I didn’t know what I was searching for, but later, I came to understand it as the Divine. I realized I was seeking the Divine. After all these years, I have come to realize that I seek the Divine—in you, in myself, in the trees, and in everything around us.
Encountering Sufism was a turning point in my life. Even now, there are times when I feel empty, when life feels meaningless and I feel alone. But I no longer feel lonely. I have come to know where to look and find that Presence—the Presence within which we live and through which we are cared for.
The highlight of Sufi practice is whirling, but it doesn't happen on its own. Whirling generates a whirlwind of energy where the Being emerges, and the Persona takes a backseat. It’s a balance between control and letting go. To prepare for this in this workshop, we begin with zikrs—spiritual practices that combine Arabic mantras with breathing techniques. Next, we move on to grounding exercises, as whirling requires a deep connection with the Earth. When everything is spinning and we surrender, it’s the Earth, the Mother, who supports and sustains us.
There will be space for sharing, meditation, dance and silence. This gathering it is not work, neither is therapy, but rather a journey of deep healing—a place where Osho meets Rumi, and Rumi meets Osho.
